New Delta Irrigation / Water Treatment Plant, El Dabaa, Egypt
Scope: Surveillance solution with > 250 cameras, NVRs & VMS
Location: El Dabaa / Northern Coast, Egypt (New Delta Wastewater / Irrigation Plant)
Project Background:
The New Delta project is one of Egypt’s landmark infrastructure projects — a massive wastewater treatment facility handling 7.5 million m³/day, covering around 32 hectares. The plant is central to Egypt’s strategy to reclaim additional agricultural land and secure water resources for the western desert region.
Challenge:
Due to its scale and critical nature, the facility required a robust security surveillance system to monitor operations, infrastructure zones, access points, and perimeter boundaries. The environment is demanding — wide outdoor areas, varying lighting, harsh weather exposure, and large structural zones.
Solution by Comatrol:
-
Deployed over 250 IP and PTZ cameras, covering critical zones (pumping stations, treatment modules, perimeter, control rooms)
-
Networked Video Recorders (NVRs) with high storage capacity and redundancy
-
Centralized VMS with real-time monitoring, playback, alerts, and health diagnostics
-
Integration with access control and security zones (future phase)
-
Scalable architecture to allow expansion as the plant grows
Outcome & Benefits:
-
Comprehensive visual coverage enabling proactive monitoring
-
Rapid incident detection and investigation capability
-
Strong deterrent against unauthorized access or intrusion
-
Reliable system suited for large infrastructure environments
-
Scalable platform ready for future integration with other systems
